Mass Effect 3 Prop - N7 Helmet

Started to make myself a new armor! This time it's the default N7 armor. I was reticent to make this one the first time around because of how popular it is in the cosplay world and I wanted to make something different; hence I had made the Rosenkov Materials armor. But now, I'm kind of done with foam mats, so 3D printing it is!

Mass Effect 3 Props - New Keyshot Renders

Felt like re-rendering these with something else than the ZBrush viewport, haha

Gothmog - Lord of Balrogs - WIP 5 - Poster/Wallpaper

HERE IT IS! Finally got to finish that monster. Morgoth's corrupted flame, Gothmog, High Captain of Angband, Lord of the Balrogs! Had so much fun with this project. Now I'm making some quality tests on my Ender 3 to be able to print that thing! Then will be all the optimisation and slicing and everything.... but stilL! Now I had a nice wallpaper/poster to print ;). The original image is 3840 x 2880, but here's the 1920 x 1440 version. Should work well on 16:9, 16:10 and 4:3
Also had to make a Depth Map version to feed the Lens Blur effect

Gothmog - Lord of Balrogs - WIP 3 - Second detailing pass

Second pas of detailing is going well. Added some quick masked-by-cavity polypaint to give it some umpf. I'm getting so hyped about printing this one!

Gothmog - Lord of Balrogs - WIP 2 - First detailing pass

Currently in the first pass of detailing. No alphas used so far, only hand sculpting. I also added the ears and fixed the number of teeth (62 teeth is a lot to deal with @___@)

Gothmog - Lord of Balrogs - WIP 1 - Blocking the main shapes

Well, I've got chickenpox. Not fun at 25 years old. Though I'm keeping myself occupied while I'm getting better, 'cause, you know, I don't have enough project in my queue... This time it's a lesser known Flame of Udun. I want to print that one myself in transparent filament, paint in black the opaque parts and light it up with LEDs.

(Forgot to add perpective on the first sreenshot, so I kept it that way for constance)

Mass Effect 3 Prop - M-27 Scimitar - High-Poly Model

Alright, yes, an other Mass Effect weapon replica. The foamboard pistol we had made for my boyfriend was good at the time but now it's a little dated, so I'm going to 3d print this badass shotgun instead (with LEDs, of course)

Mass Effect 3 Prop - Monomolecular Blade - 3D Printed and Assembled

Got around to paint this sword at last! A couple setbacks (notably breaking the blade in half by accident, but nothing some hard metal wire, super glue and sanding couldn't fix). Going to have to be careful during conventions though. More to come about other props!

Mass Effect 3 Prop - Black Widow - High-Poly Model

First actual official 3D commission, I'm excited. A friend of mine (MNC Props) called on my skills to model and print the famous Black Widow sniper rifle from Mass Effect 3 for his Legion cosplay. It will be printed to 1:1 scale on my Ender 3 after the next pass of modeling which will determine how the prop will be cut. It'll be my biggest print by far!

Mass Effect 3 Prop - M-5 Phalanx - High-Poly Model

So, I,ve been working on something big these past months, hence the gap in posts. I'm making a prop for my sister's Kasumi cosplay from Mass Effect 3, the M-5 Phalanx! During this projects, I've discovered a love for smoothing-groups-based turbosmoothing and booleans. I've now printed it on my Ender 3 and it's going to have trigger-operated LEDs and will be able to be disassembled to access its circuits and battery. I'm having a blast on this project. Images of the printed prop coming soon.

3D Printing - Ender-3 Assembly!

Well, I'm ecstatic. Assembly went super well. Only problem was the display wasn't working, but I found out the display cable wasn't plugged inside the component box, so it was an easy fix. First print didn't finish, but it's most probably because of the small roll of filament that kept getting stuck and it made the printer skip layers. I'm going to calibrate it thoroughly and see just how well it can print! I'm eager to print some props, armor and figures.
